1987 Fiesta Firefly – XR2 Engine And Running Gear*Re-listed due to non-commital buyer*Here’s my Fiesta Firefly up for sale. This car has been really fun to own and turns heads wherever I go. It features the 1.6 cvh engine from an XR2. Plus a five speed gearbox and running gear also from the XR2. Shell has covered 79k miles and the engine has only ran less than 500 miles since being put in the car. Restored before my ownership the car is in very good condition overall. Has been undersealed and is solid. Only bad bit is some patches of corrosion on the inner wings. This aren’t rotten and have been treated with rust neutraliser.A freshly bored early, CVH 1. 6 'Hemi' block was bored to 0. 5mm oversize. New rings, new main and big end bearings installed – all new gaskets etc Fresh early ported head with a CVH22 camshaft, Kent springs / Venier etc.Janspeed four branch manifold and matched Janspeed exhaustButterflies removed from the DFT carb, manifold heavily ported to match ported DFT internals.XR2 ignition with a new coil.XR2 Alternator bracket and NOS alternator.XR2 cradle, driveshafts and 5 speed gearbox.Wheels, Brakes & Suspension:-Front XR2 brakes, EBC grooved discs and red stuff padsKYB suspension, poly top mounts – XR2 specKYB springs – XR2 spec/ ride height etc.XR2 Panhard & rear roll bar.XR2 tie rods.XR2 steal wheels (13 x6) powder coated with matched tyres.
