If you know these cars you know it's fully loaded, after all it was the flagship of the S class range and circa £90,000 – £100,000.You've got electric everything, soft close doors, double glazing, satnav, quality stereo, multi position memory heated seats for driver and passenger, dual zone air conditioning that works and it's very cold! Keyless start works perfectly.Very comfortable seats and interior is in good condition with nothing loose or rattling – driver's seat side bolster has a hole but that's it, and it's repairable.Bodywork is very good and dent free, just a few blemishes you'd expect from a 20yr old car, very mild lacquer fade in two places and a little aluminium oxidation on the roof, but it looks lovely nonetheless.If it was mint it'd be 10k, this is a very nice useable classic Mercedes with good history.Pillarless coupé style, AMG style skirts, beautiful sound from the exhaust without being intrusive. ABC suspension is a nightmare when it goes wrong and very, very expensive – this has all been removed, correctly. It's sitting on adjustable coil overs, so absolutely no future suspension issues here – if you buy a CL, SL500 or S class with ABC still intact instead, be very careful that it's been maintained correctly and works perfectly. 5.0 V8 M113 engine and 7 speed automatic transmission – supreme reliability comes standard with this engine, and at 139k it's not run in, they go forever. Surprisingly, it'll do well over 30 mpg at 70mph, so very economical on a run and even good around town. I bought it as a toy because I had one 10 years ago, and now my other classic is nearing restoration completion so this has to go as I can't keep them all.Classic cover is available for these and the tax is £35 per month.
