For sale is my much-loved Volvo 480 GT. The car was in daily use until December 2025, when the rear engine mount failed. I sourced a NOS replacement engine mount with the intention of repairing it, but after being made redundant my priorities changed and I’ve decided it’s time to let the car go. The odometer currently shows 66,000 miles, however the instrument cluster was previously changed because the original clocks had started to flake. I still have the original clocks, and the true mileage is closer to 96,000 miles. Structurally, the car is very good for a 480. There is very little rot, and the rear arches and seatbelt anchorage points are particularly clean and close to immaculate. It is currently fitted with a set of steel Mini wheels, but I also have the original Volvo GT alloy wheels stored in my garage, which I would be willing to include for the right price. The interior is quite tatty in places, mainly because the leather on the front seats has gone hard with age. The rear seats, however, are in very good condition. The battery is now flat, but the car starts every time when jumped. As mentioned, it was being used regularly as my daily driver right up until the engine mount failed. I’m only selling because I want to concentrate on my 480 Turbo and simply don’t have the garage space to keep two 480s. I also really don’t want to see this one sitting outside in the garden for another winter. I’m genuinely gutted to be selling it, but a lack of time and space means it’s the sensible thing to do. A great opportunity for someone looking for a solid 480 GT that needs a relatively straightforward repair and some cosmetic attention.
