Honda Civic Type R FN2 – BREAKING / COMPLETE CAR – £1,800 / There is easily £4,000+ potential value in parts for somebody willing to dismantle it and sell the parts individually.Selling my Honda Civic Type R FN2 as a complete car for breaking/spares or repair. I would prefer to sell the whole car to someone who has the space and time to break it themselvesThe only reason I am not breaking the Honda for parts myself is because of the parking restrictions where I live. The local council allows each resident to use only one allocated parking space, and failing to comply can result in a penalty. I have already bought another project car and the seller is waiting for me to collect it, so I need my parking space available and therefore need the Honda gone ASAP.If I had somewhere to keep both cars, I would break the Honda myself rather than sell it complete, as there is considerably more money to be made by selling the parts individually.I originally intended to repair the car properly and keep it. Unfortunately, I don't have a welder I know who could carry out the required work at a reasonable price. My plan wasn't simply to patch the areas required for the MOT. I wanted the underside restored properly.After completing all of the necessary welding, my plan was to have the entire underside professionally dry-ice blasted, removing the old underseal, dirt and surface contamination. I then wanted the underside properly protected with an anti-corrosion primer as the first layer, followed by a professionally applied protective underbody coating.I received a quotation of approximately £2,500 for the complete welding and underbody restoration/protection work.Unfortunately, the welder I intended to use is booked approximately six weeks in advance. Because I need a car for travelling to university, I couldn't realistically be without transport for that length of time, so I have now bought another vehicle.This creates another problem: the only reason I am selling the Honda rather than repairing it or breaking it myself is the parking restriction where I live.
