Volvo 850 Estate from 1995 2.5 GLT Automatic (Non-Turbo) with MOT to March 4th 2027. A superb example of this car and being sold part way through a restoration process which should bring the car back to pristine condition and keep it running for another 31 years!The 850 was put back on the road in March of this year by the previous owner and prior to this she had been dry stored since 2016. This explains the good condition of the exterior bodywork and the underbody of the car. The only minor exterior rust blemishes are shown in the detailed photographs. The fenders will need to be replaced or have pretty extensive rework and rebuild done. They are selling on eBay for £80 to 150 depending on condition etc.Work carried out by me in recent months:New Delphi discs and pads all round with brake fluid replaced. One caliper repaired with caliper repair kit.New front track rod ends and tie bars fitted.New OEM Volvo battery retaining clamp fitted.Four new Uniroyal Rain Expert Tyres fittedOld rusted rear bumper brackets removed and replaced with new Volvo OEM brackets and protective paint applied (see picture).Bumper side brackets are new and ready to fit with anti corrosion paint applied to the bracket mount on the rear fender panel (see picture)Damaged front bumper upper section removed and new upper section purchased ready to fit – see picture of bumper partsFront passenger and rear wipers arms fitted (none were present when we bought the car).Radio code obtained from Volvo main dealer – radio now works as it should.Work remaining to be done to make the car presentable:Paint rear lower bumper section, apply back to black to upper section (the rubber has been cleaned off ready) and refit rear bumper using the OEM fixings supplied.Paint front bumper lower moulding, fit the new upper rubber bumper sections. Two lower bumper screws sheared and will need drilling and tapping out before refitting the lower section. Refit the mouldings under the front headslights.Both front fenders will either need a significant rebuild or replacement fenders fitting and painting – see pictures.
