Up for sale is my 2008 True Red Mazda MX-5 2.0 NC Sport. I am selling purely to fund an upgrade to a Honda S2000. The car has covered 128,000 miles, has 4 previous owners (including myself), and comes with 2 keys. The previous owner put 65,000 miles on the car taking it on reliable road trips, and it has been exceptionally well cared for. Although the mileage is 128k, these 2.0L Duratec engines are absolute bulletproof workhorses when looked after. It runs exceptionally smooth, drives brilliantly, and has great service history with oil changes religiously carried out every 5,000 miles.In my opinion, every key upgrade you would ever want on an NC MX-5 has already been done—making this a complete turnkey enthusiast build. Performance and sound are taken care of by a brand-new Cobra Sport race back box paired alongside a Malian sports cat mid-pipe and centre pipe, giving it an amazing exhaust note without being unbearable. The gear shift has been upgraded for a smoother feel through the gears. Handling is hugely improved thanks to upgraded Tein coilovers for a lower, sporty ride height, complemented by upgraded brakes with custom-painted yellow calipers that pop behind the dark alloys. Better yet, it sits on a brand new set of premium Bridgestone tyres (£130 a tyre / £520 total expenditure), so there are zero consumable coats needed for the new owner. Inside, the cabin features upgraded flight-inspired instrument dials and a modern touchscreen system featuring Bluetooth, Android Auro, integrated rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera. The soft-top roof is in immaculate, fully watertight condition. The car was garaged by the previous owner, and under my ownership, it has been kept under a weatherproof cover and driven only in the dry. It has just passed a fresh 12-month MOT (valid until 16th October 2027) with only 1 minor advisory for slight corrosion on the nearside rear lower sill.
