Advert description
For Sale my 2006 Caravelle T5 model. Bought in 2009 and has been with me since then. Good daily runner – has been all the way to Italy and back multiple times. New turbo and exhaust manifold last year. Most of the exhaust system renewed last year plus subframe. New All Terrain Wheels last year. Engine and Drive Train all in excellent shape. Passed MOT without any advisories – MOT 31/05/2027 – had also a full service in May 2026. Interior seats have been changed from cloth to themed leather red/grey – see pictures. Doesn't have a timing belt nor timing chain – VW dealer told me has a completely gear-driven timing system, so called gear train. Lasts a lifetime of the car as long as has regular oil changes – which mine had.Issues: the see-through plastic layer on paint is peeling off roof and front. Paint underneath is good. A particular issue with red VW, I have been told. Never had an actual accident, but has a few dents, where I scratched along our house wall and on the back small tree dented the bumper in reverse on a German campsite. A few areas of rust, but nothing structural as far as I can see. Back bench moving mechanism is broke – can be moved from the back via cabling. Seat belt mechanism on one of the back seats is stuck. Air con doesn't work, but ventilation system including heating works fine. Driver's side central locking mechanism doesn't respond to key fob – needs to be locked and opened by hand – rest of central locking works fine. A few interior areas where cloth is ripped. Only recently I had the ESP warning light switching on occasionally while driving – once engine off and switched on again, the issue has resolved – online advice states to get ESP module scanned with VCDS – most garages can do this. Doesn't seem a big issue. Car driving absolutely fine.In view of these issues I have shaved off £ 2,000 – usually this type of car goes for around £ 8,000 and upwards.I have most of the service history from the past 10 years – certainly all the big jobs – turbo, exhaust system etc.Viewing welcome – I'm a GP and work throughout the week, however, evening and weekends can be arranged. On viewing we'll take the car out for a spin – runs very smoothly.…
