2010 Ford Mondeo Titanium X Estate 2.0 TDCi Powershift Automatic – Spares or Repair Hi, I’m selling my 2010 Ford Mondeo Titanium X estate with the 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engine and six-speed Powershift automatic transmission. It is being sold strictly as spares or repair due to a transmission fault. This was a genuinely good car for me before the transmission problem developed. It was excellent on fuel for such a large estate and always felt solid, sturdy and planted on the road. It was comfortable on longer journeys, had plenty of pulling power and offered a huge amount of space for passengers, luggage, tools or equipment. I would have happily continued using it if the transmission fault hadn’t appeared. The transmission initially began slipping occasionally. I had the transmission oil replaced and thought the problem had been resolved, but unfortunately it later returned. I connected the car to diagnostic software on my laptop, which displayed an input/turbine speed sensor fault. I have not investigated or diagnosed it any further, so I cannot guarantee that replacing the sensor alone will repair the problem. Buyers should assume that transmission repairs may be required. The car starts and does move and drive. However, after it has been driven for a while, the transmission begins slipping—possibly in first and third gears. Eventually, a “Transmission Limited Function” message appears and it will no longer change gear correctly until the engine is switched off and restarted. The car was taken off the road when I replaced it and has been standing for an extended period. I cannot remember the exact length of time, but it may be approaching a year. I recently charged the battery and it started first time. The car currently has no MOT. Due to the lack of MOT, the transmission fault and the length of time it has been standing, it must be collected using a suitable trailer or recovery vehicle and should not be driven away.
