Advert description

The vehicle has been off the road for approximately 18 months after it developed a fuel system fault. It was originally diagnosed by a Nissan main dealer as a fuel system issue, with a repair estimate of around £5,000. As I really liked the vehicle and its high specification, I decided to investigate the problem myself. So far, I have:Removed the rear seats to access the fuel system.Replaced the sender/fuel pump located under the passenger seat.Fitted a new £171 battery, which is currently disconnected and being kept on charge.Removed, cleaned and tested all four injectors. These have been confirmed as fully functional and operating correctly. After carrying out these checks, I have narrowed the remaining fault down to the high-pressure fuel pump.Replacement high-pressure fuel pumps are readily available online, with used units currently being advertised for approximately £50–£100, depending on the supplier.Unfortunately, I simply no longer have the time to finish the job and the vehicle is now in the way, hence the sale.Condition: The vehicle has been standing for around 18 months, so it will require recommissioning. There are a couple of areas where the paintwork has been affected/stripped, apparently from bird droppings. The leather interior has some mould from being stood, but this should clean up relatively easily. This is therefore being sold as a non-running project/repair vehicle. It would suit someone mechanically minded who can fit the high-pressure pump and get it back on the road. The vehicle has a very high specification, which is the main reason I originally wanted to keep it and repair it.Please note: I cannot guarantee that replacing the high-pressure fuel pump will resolve every issue, although based on the testing and work already carried out, this is the fault I have narrowed it down to.Sold as seen, with no warranty implied due to the vehicle being non-running.
