2012 Range Rover Evoque 2.2 Diesel Automatic – Spares or RepairsFor sale is my 2012 Range Rover Evoque 2.2 diesel automatic. The vehicle is complete and has excellent bodywork and a well-kept interior as well as 2 brand new passenger side tyres and near new Pirelli Scorpion tyres on driver side front and back . It has been a lovely car, but due to mechanical and electrical faults, I have decided to sell it as a repair project or for spares rather than undertake further repairs. The car can be started and has previously run, but it is currently not roadworthy and driving is not recommended. Following the AA inspection, the vehicle should not be run unnecessarily until the faults have been properly assessed. It will require recovery or transporter collection. AA inspection and known faults An AA mobile mechanic has carried out a fault-finder inspection and provided a written report. The main findings are: Leaking injector seals, resulting in a build-up of solid black material on top of the engine. Gearbox selector module fault – sequence counter defective. Engine oil level too high, with suspected diesel dilution. Turbo/boost-system fault suspected but not confirmed, as the vehicle could not safely be started for further testing. Engine-management warning light and black exhaust smoke previously reported. The AA has recommended selling the vehicle as spares and repairs. The full diagnostic report is available to serious buyers upon request. The bodywork and interior are in excellent condition, making this a potential repair project for an experienced mechanic or a suitable vehicle for a Land Rover specialist or dismantler.
